Remington Versa Max Tactical (Page 2)

Though pricier than a pump-action alternative, the Versa Max Tactical, as its name implies, is far more versatile.

All done with Remington, they have gone to the dark side. Shame on them.

Was a big Remington fan but will not buy any product from them again until they change their philosophy on compromising gun owner rights. Will buy no guns made by New York companies-don't reward gun grabbing states with your dollars!!

You Remington folks like Cuomo, fine and dandy. Go sell him some firearms. I'm done with ya.

If I didn't already have an 870, I would buy something else. Remington is cutting their own throats by not standing up to jerks like Cuomo. Smith and Colt learned the hard way, I guess Remington will too.

Too bad they are so hard to find. Because of this I went with the JM Pro Series and never looked back....

Excellent shotgun, minimal recoil, but the magazine extension tube nut needs to be redesigned to provide added grip power for loosening it for take-down. At present, it is unnecessarily difficult, particularly for older shooters.

Remington is today what S&W was like ten years ago. Siding with the gun control agenda. I do not care what they produce, or quality or whatever... they got in bed with Cuomo and his stupid law, sold out and that is enough to never support them in any form.

I will stick with my Mossbergs. The price and customer service are phenomenal. The way Remington has treated their customers by not retasking out of NY and their showing no real fight against the SAFE act[;] I would rather not support them anyway.

for the price and warranty i will stay with the mossberg 930. customer service and reliability is twice that of any of the new remingtons..

In regard to 3.5 inch shells, the Versaport system in the VersaMax Tactical is identical to the entire line....so those bigger shells will probably chamber and shoot well. It's the longer tube magazine and the propensity for some 3.5 inchers to crimp/bend/not feed that I surmised forced Remington to stamp the barrel 3-inch 12-gauge. I'd rather not risk voiding the warranty, personally. You may also have an earlier model, with smaller magazine!

I have a VersaMax tactical and love it but mine does shoot 3.5 inch shells

I picked one up back in April and love it. Softest shooting shotty I've ever experienced. Only problem I have is getting the mag tube extension nut off. Remington seems to have welded mine on. So I haven't been able to thoroughly clean the gun since I got it.
