SIG Sauer Donates Custom Pistols to Boy Scouts

SIG Sauer donates custom engraved pistols to the Boy Scouts of America for the 2013 National Scout Jamboree.

7/2/13

SIG Sauer is donating 70 custom engraved pistols to the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) to teach safe firearm use at the 2013 National Scout Jamboree on July 15-24 at the Summit Bachtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia. The BSA logo will be featured on 54 Mosquito pistols and 16 P250 pistols that will be shot by Boy Scouts at the Venturing age (14-21 years old).

“For many, the Boy Scouts were a key introduction to the outdoors and shooting sports,” said Bud Fini, SIG Sauer vice president of marketing. “As shooting sports continue to grow in popularity, we’re happy to help the Boy Scouts teach the next generation about firearms safety and responsible use.”

Thanks to SIG's pistol donation the Boy Scouts will be able to enjoy an annual pistol program at The Summit.

We just returned from the range after firing our Second SIG- a new Mosquito. Gratifying to see SIG supporting the BSA. I am even happier with my purchase of the great little hand gun.
