Hollywood Guns

Hollywood Guns

3/12/2010

The NRA's National Firearms Museum is opening a new exhibit this year that will catch the eye of both gun enthusiasts and movie-goers. The “Hollywood Guns” exhibit will feature firearms used by actors in some of the most popular action movies. I recently had a chance to hang out with Assistant Curator Matt Sharpe and take a some photos of guns used in some my favorite movies.

Here’s a gun from one of my favorite movies of all time, Die Hard with Bruce Willis. This is the actual
Beretta 92FS that he used. Another nice fact about this gun is that it was also used by Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon.

This
HK94 was also used by Willis in Die Hard.

Clamp, you are 100% correct...I didnt notice it because the Mass. State police use 229's in .40...but the movie opted to use the 228 in 9mm.

That appears to be a Sig 228, not a 226, in the picture of the firearms used in The Departed.
